01 - In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, cream, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and a pinch of salt. Heat gently over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
02 - Stir in the oats and raisins. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes until the oats are creamy and thickened.
03 - Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter until fully incorporated.
04 - Allow to rest for 2 minutes for the flavors to meld and the oatmeal to reach a cloud-like texture.
05 - Spoon into bowls. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and toasted nuts if desired. Serve warm.
