01 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, espresso, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
02 - Whisk continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is steaming hot, taking care not to let it boil.
03 - Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more maple syrup or honey.
04 - Remove from heat and pour evenly into two heatproof mugs.
05 - Top each mug generously with whipped cream, then sprinkle with shaved chocolate and a pinch of ground cinnamon.
